Rediscovering a dormant blog

Back to work on the blog,

As I mentioned many months ago, this blog will be undergoing changes as I:

1) start the field research phase of my PhD,

2) begin living in Tokyo in September,

3) actually have free time to work on the blog

4) expand my research from hikikomori, freeter and NEET to other sectors of the young adult labor force in Japan.

While this blog has something going for in terms of longevity as a digital parking lot on the web,it leaves much to be desired in terms of regularly filling the lot with posts.

Between Typepad's new user interface and the program I use to to make the blog, Ecto, its pretty easy to post. Maybe as easy as Facebook now days. So I have no excuses in that department.

Also, with all the nifty new widgets that Typepad has now I think it will be interesting to see what I can do with the JLG blog.
